Description

Porsche 924 Carrera GT

This Porsche 924 Carrera GT is a very special vehicle. Only 406 vehicles of this model were built in total. 6 of them were prototypes, 200 went abroad and 200 remained in Germany. Based on the chassis number, we were able to find out that our 924 Carrera GT was the 4th last Carrera GT to roll off the production line.

The 924 Carrera GT was only available in three colours at the time:
- Guards Red (L31B)
- Black Metallic (L041)
- Diamond Silver Metallic (L97A)

Our vehicle was delivered in the colour Black Metallic, which is very rare, as the vast majority of 924 Carrera GTs were finished in red.

This vehicle was ordered in the summer of 1980 by the first owner, a furniture dealer from Urach, from the Max Moritz dealership in Reutlingen and was first registered on 30 March 1981. The vehicle was delivered with very interesting extras such as a limited slip differential, 16" forged rims, tinted glass, removable targa roof, 4-spoke sports steering wheel, exterior passenger mirrors and without paint and chrome preservation. The corresponding new car invoice is available. Even before delivery, the 924 GT was fitted with a Konisport suspension, a boost pressure indicator and a roll bar by MaxMoritz. The invoice from the Max Moritz dealership dated 13 March 1981 is also available for this work. The first owner only kept the Porsche until 19.05.1983, when he sold it with a mileage of 28,000 km to the second owner in the neighbourhood, also a gentleman from near Reutlingen. After a few years, the vehicle was decommissioned and lay dormant until 2016. The 924 was then carefully brought back to life in 2016. This work is very well documented by invoices totalling around EUR 15,000. The Carrera GT has been in collector's hands since 2016 and we are now offering it for sale.

Special features at a glance:

- Targa roof

- Roll bar

- Koni chassis

- German delivery at Max Moritz

According to the new car invoice, the vehicle has the following special equipment:

- M220 limited slip differential

- M261 exterior passenger mirror

- M395 Forged wheel 6 J x 16

- M398 Electrically adjustable driver's mirror

- M431 4-spoke leather sports steering wheel

- M468 tinted glazing

- M650 Removable roof

- M666 without paint and chrome preservation

The vehicle comes with an extensive vehicle file. In addition to the original vehicle registration document, it contains the current papers as well as various invoices (new car invoice, maintenance invoices, etc.) and several MOT documents.

The 924 GT is currently registered with historic licence plates.

The vehicle has various visual defects, but is technically in good condition.
