Description

This Beetle Convertible was purchased by the first owner in October 1980 at the Nordstadt car dealership in Hanover as a new vehicle with day registration. The purchase price was DM 24,004. Before delivery the car was modified at Nordstadt for DM 25,680. Among other things, a 2.0 litre Oettinger engine with 85 hp, air conditioning, colour glazing, 15" aluminium rims, leather upholstery, a long 4th gear and much more was installed.

In 1989/1990 the first owner took the Beetle to Oettinger in Friedrichsdorf to have the car modified more. At Oettinger, the so-called WBX 4 engine, a 2.5 litre water-cooled engine with approx. 92 kW / 125 hp, was installed.

In this context, the vehicle was converted to Porsche brakes and Fuchs rims. Furthermore, a different exhaust system, wider plastic mudguards, a 200 km/h VDO speedometer and much more was installed. All work can be proven by invoices !

The total modification costs amounted to approx. DM 100,000.

The Beetle has French registration.

A second vehicle with the same specifications is also for sale.

Both vehicles have been in first ownership until now and are offered for sale for the first time.
