Description

Roger Hurst was one of the many who were obsessed with the desire to race in the 1960s.
After the merger of the existing Lenham Motor Company with Hurst in 1969, Lenham-Hurst was founded with the aim of building a new type of racing car, largely based on the latest technology and design thinking.

This car, known as the Lenham GT, was once thought of as a fast road car according to the company's literature.

Built in 1968 by Roger Hurst and is known as the Hurst GT. The car was bought by Roger and Ray Calcutt in 1969 and won the STP Motorsport Championship that year. At the end of the year the car was converted to a Spider version as the rules were changed to allow open cars.

In the 1970 season the car was driven by Francois Libert. After the car was involved in a serious accident in Monthlery, it went to the Lenham sister company Societe' Darnval. In 1994 it was bought by David Methley. He restored it in great detail. In 2002 it was used in the race. In 2005 it won its class at every event.

The Lenham is equipped with a Cosworth FVA engine.

The current owner of this GT car is a racing car collector from Denmark.
